The Tramex Moisture Encounter MEX5 is a professional dual-depth, non-destructive moisture and humidity meter designed for building and home inspection. Ideal for surveying moisture conditions in structures, the MEX5 measures moisture content in wood and drywall while providing comparative readings for materials such as roofing, plaster, tile and masonry. With a built-in hygrometer and infrared surface thermometer, plus optional pin and in-situ RH probes, the MEX5 is an essential tool for moisture inspection and restoration professionals.
Featuring dual-depth technology, the MEX5 offers shallow and deep penetration modes, allowing users to compare surface and core moisture levels to eliminate substrate influence when testing coverings. The integrated hygrometer provides continuous ambient readings and full psychrometric evaluations, while optional external probes expand the instrument’s capabilities for wood, drywall and concrete moisture testing.
