Returns Policy

Design and Survey is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products and service. However on rare occasions products may be found to be faulty, defective or inappropriate, and in keeping with our commitment to providing customers with excellent service, we offer the returns facilities set out below:
A product purchased from Design and Survey may be returned (subject to our main Terms & Conditions) for the following reasons:
- If the product arrives faulty or damaged.
- If the product is incorrect due to a misunderstanding or misinformation.
- If the customer finds the product unsuitable or is dissatisfied with the product.
Items returned to Design and Survey for any of the above reasons should be done so within 30 days of receipt, and should also meet the following criteria:
- Goods must be returned as sold i.e. in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition.
- Any free gifts or other additional bundled items delivered with the products must also be returned.
- You must obtain a Return Materials Authorisation from our Returns Dept and label the parcel(s) with the reference number provided.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the return being rejected.
FAULTY RETURNED GOODS
All goods supplied by Design and Survey are warranted to be generally free from defects in workmanship and materials and fit for the purpose for which such goods would normally be used. Subject to this however, goods are not tested or sold as being fit for any particular application or for use under specific conditions, unless expressly agreed in writing.
NON FAULTY RETURNED GOODS
Goods are not supplied on a sale or return basis. If any Goods are to be returned, the Goods must be unused and in original packaging and fit for resale. Returns will only be accepted with a Returned Materials Authorisation number. This must be obtained within 7 working days of date of delivery.

Please note you must organise the return of the items at your expense unless the item is incorrect due to an error by Design and Survey. In this instance your item will either be collected or postage will be refunded.
CANCELLATION OF ORDER
In the event you have placed your order on our website www.designandsurvey.com, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations (2000) you have the right to cancel the contract relating to your order at any time up to the end of 7 days after the goods are delivered.
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to Design and Survey by letter, fax or email giving details of the order number, goods ordered and date received. Notification by phone is not acceptable. If you exercise your right of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Design and Survey at your own cost.
The Distance Selling Regulations places a duty on you to take reasonable care of the goods once you have exercised your right to cancel and the returned goods must be received with Design and Survey's prior agreement within 14 days of delivery.
The goods must be unopened and in perfect re-saleable condition. A credit will be raised for the returned goods when they are received back at our premises. If the return is due to a customer error there will be a re-stocking charge of 20% of the value of the goods or £25, whichever is the greater applied to the credit note. Any returns must be notified within 7 days of delivery. Returns can only be accepted if accompanied by a completed returns note.
When exercising your right to cancel under the Distance Selling Regulations please return goods to Design and Survey, Returns Dept, 1a Carrakeel Drive, Maydown Industrial Estate, MAYDOWN, BT47 6UQ.
If after exercising your right to cancel under the Distance Selling Regulations you do not return the goods as required Design and Survey may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods.
